Episode 75: When Your Child Gets in Trouble for Being the Class Clown with Lori O
When your child gets in trouble for being the class clown with Lori O
Lori’s 11 year old son has always been a fun-loving class clown who likes to mess around in class. Now that he is in middle school his teachers find his behavior to be disrespectful. Since this only happens in school, Lori is wondering what strategies she might be able to suggest to her son so he can better judge when his humor and interruptions are okay and when they are not. If you have a child who’s having trouble controlling inappropriate behaviors this podcast may help.
“First thing I would do is, I wouldn’t worry too much. Like oh my god this is going to affect his whole life? The only thing that’s going to affect his life is that he has the ability to make people laugh and that’s a great thing.” - Sue Groner
